Rocks of Remembrance - painted collage on paper 9x12"
Original oil painting collage on thick 9x12" water color paper. Part of the "Rocks of Remembrance" subseries.
Each rock was drawn, painted, cut out and adhered in a new design to create a unique Rocks of Remembrances piece. The rocks are symbolic of momentous occasions in our life. As more and more occur, our lives can begin to look like a pile of rocks, each representing a work in our life.
The rocks are contained within a subtle debossed line, forming a box which represents our life. The subtlety of the line corresponds to our not knowing the number of our days.
The white space at the top of the pile is the area not yet filled which tells of our expectation of what is yet to come—of future grace.
Options include buying unframed art (It will need to be framed and matted. Ok, well the mat is optional, but it will make it look smashing.) Or you can add a professional custom mat and framing option with four frame choices for an additional cost. Artwork will then be shipped to a framer who will deliver it professionally matted, framed and ready to hang on your wall.
Why the frame is worth the money:
-Each frame is made from solid wood with premium finishes and is custom cut for each piece of art.
-Roughly 3” acid-free mat board is used to separate the art from the moulding and acrylic as well as beautifully sets off the piece.
-The art is then mounted on 3/16”foam core backing which keeps it smooth and supported while adding a dramatic sense of depth.
-Framing includes acrylic as the glaze for the art. Although more expensive than glass it offers superior UV protection, protects the piece during shipping, is lighter (easier to hang) and boasts incredible clarity.
-Your piece is then sealed on the back with custom craft paper which locks out debris and protects the art.
-Also included is everything you need to hang your piece (ie the appropriate hardware) well almost everything, hammer not included.
Since all good things take time, please allow an additional 2-3 weeks for the framing magic to happen. Also, shipping of your artwork is included in the price! Voila! So beautiful and easy!
